How to Enter

Welcome

Entry for an award is a quick and easy process. Simply fill in the form below and return it no later than 31st July 2018. You may enter a maximum of 3 categories. Please also nominate other individuals or organisations for an Award.

Entering the Midlands Business Awards 2019 is the first step in a fantastic profile-building opportunity for you and your business. Since 2007,  the awards have generated high levels of PR coverage across the Midlands region and wider. Finalists and winners in particular have picked up additional business as well as great opportunities to promote themselves and their company.

In addition to the profile opportunities that entering the Midlands Business Awards brings, a prestigious trophy will be awarded to each winner. Presentations will be made at the Awards Ceremony on Friday 22nd February 2019, accept the challenge and complete the entry form!

About Your Entry

There are now 13 award categories that you can enter. Each category you enter will require a separate entry form to be completed. Entries should be no more than 2,000 words in total. Although not a specific requirement, you can attach up to 3 supporting documents to your entry such as testimonials, product or service information sheets or tables/graphs.

1. Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year

Outstanding personal entrepreneurial performance leading to outstanding achievement with significant business breakthroughs and growth.

Detail how your entrepreneurial skills have led to business growth.

Show how you have taken your idea(s) to the market & made it successful.

Outline the challenges / risks you have faced & overcome to achieve success.

Provide financial  information on the business growth achieved ( or projected )

What is your strategy for 1 to 5 years.

2. Midlands Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Outstanding personal entrepreneurial performance leading to outstanding achievement with significant business breakthroughs and growth (aged below 25 years on 31.07.2018).

Detail how your entrepreneurial skills have led to business growth.

Show how you have taken your idea(s) to the market & made it successful.

Outline the challenges / risks you have faced & overcome to achieve success.

Provide financial infomation on the business growth achieved ( or projected ).

What is your strategy for 1 to 5 years.

3. Midlands Family Business of the Year

The Family Business of the Year category is for established ( for minimum 2 years )

family businesses across all industry sectors, that can demonstrate sustained success across a broad range of measures.     

A family-owned business may be defined as any business in which two or more family members are involved and the majority of ownership or control lies within a family.

4. Midlands Service Provider of the Year (2 Awards)

a) Outstanding standards of customer service delivered by a business.
     (Turnover over £1,000,000)

b) Outstanding standards of customer service delivered by a business.
     (Turnover up to £1,000,000)

8. Midlands International Trade of the Year

Outstanding performance in international trade / exporting, demonstrating innovative internationa trade / export strategies, leading to significantly increased business results.

11 . Midlands Digital Communications Company of the Year

This award celebrates the diversity of the ever - expanding Digital Communications sector. This award covers, social media campaigns, websites ( new and rebrand ), video, mobile & portable devices campaigns etc.

The judges are looking for an company that is leading the way, in digital communications and reflect outstanding use of digital communications for the benefit of their clients and covers any sector.

The judges will be looking for proof of the initial brief, the proposal and the final delivery and its impact.

12 . Midlands PR Company of the Year

To celebrate excellence and recognise and reward outstanding campaigns and the exceptional talent in the Midlands for PR & Communications companies.

This award will acknowledge an exemplary media relations campaign, either for a one-off or ongoing campaign that has delivered exceptional results and coverage.

Judges will be looking for clear evidence of strategy, creativety and effective execution.
